Your Duties And Responsibilities as a Senior Manager

  • Ensure the effective delivery of initiatives, policies, programs, and directives in accordance with United’s sourcing strategy and financial plans
  • Assist in the selection and management of suppliers by establishing processes, standards, and performance metrics
  • Is directly responsible for a subset of categories, including developing the sourcing strategy, identifying suppliers, adopting supplier diversity, capturing diverse spending, and measuring and tracking performance against financial plans
  • Drive the analysis of and review data, including budget/financial and performance metrics, to support decisions related to programs, initiatives, and directives, including the initiation of RFPs to outsource component overhaul and repair services
  • Develop and deliver presentations to executives and others, as required, on strategies, programs, practices, and issues
  • Interact with Technical Ops, Engineering, Vendor Management, Fleet Strategy, Legal, and Finance
  • Handle business relationships with key suppliers, including routine improvements to agreements, communication of demand/volume changes, updating contracts, and sharing end-user feedback
