As the Lead Station Attendant you are a working member of the team and will provide guidance, coaching, and assistance to Station Attendants, so that company standards are met and consistently applied at all times to ensure safety & optimal customer service, as well as on-time performance.
Requirements For This Role
- Lead Station Attendant experience is required.
- Available for shift work – early mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Work schedules are subject to change based on operational demands.
- Ability to work around a busy ramp environment with large mechanized equipment, on multi-million-dollar aircraft.
- Lead Station Attendant or supervisory experience on an airport ramp is a definite asset.
- Must have strong leadership qualities and communication skills to delegate and carry out time-critical decisions.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work within strict timelines to maintain on-time departures while ensuring Safety First and Always.
- Holding a current airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) is an asset.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Available to attend 10-11 weeks of full-time mandatory training.
- Pass security clearance and obtain a Transport Canada security card.
- Employees in this role, conduct safety-critical work and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances.
